USA is one of the largest countries in the world. Every year thousands of people travel to USA for different purpose including visit and us immigration.US Department of State has categorized applicants in different visa types.
There are two types of Visa types including Non-immigrant visa and immigrant visa . People visiting USA for Short or specific period of time must apply for Non-Immigrant type and People who are moving to USA permanently for immigration to USA must apply for US immigrant visa.

US Non-Immigrant visa
A non-immigrant visa is the visa issued to persons with a permanent residence outside the U.S. but who wishes to be in the U.S. on a temporary basis (i.e. Tourism, medical treatment, business, temporary work, or study.
US Non-Immigrant visa for Students
F1 The F1 Visa category is for students who intend to take academic and language courses in USA.
F2 The F2 category is for students dependents (dependent of an F-1 holder) who accompany students in USA during the studies.
M1 The M1 Visa category is for students who intend to take Vocational courses in USA.
M2 The M2 category is for students dependents (dependent of an M-1 holder) who accompany students in USA during the studies.
J Exchange visitors for international cultural apply under J category
J1 Exchange visitors including professors, scholars, teachers may apply under J1 Visa category
J1 also include Exchange visitors – au pairs
J2 Exchange visitors category including children (under age 21) and spouse of a J-1 holder
Q category is for Exchange visitors – international cultural
K1 visa category is for Fiancé(e) visa.
A-2, NATO1-6 category is for Foreign military personnel stationed in the United States
O-1 category is for Foreign nationals with extraordinary ability in sciences, arts, education, business or athletics
P The US P categoy is for Athletes, artists, entertainers who wish to travel to USA to perform for some event.
E-3 Australian worker – professional specialty

H-1B1 is Free Trade Agreement (FTA) professionals: Chile
H-1B1 is Free Trade Agreement (FTA) professionals: Singapore
B1 category is for Business visitors visiting USA to attend conference, meeting, exebition or trade show.
B1 category is also for Domestic employees or nannies (must be accompanying a foreign national employer)
G1-G5 , NATO is category for Employees of a designated international organization and NATO
B2 visa category is for US Non-Immigrant visa for General visitors,Tourists, vacation, pleasure visitors
B2 Visitors for Medical Treatment also Apply under B2 Visa category.
D Category Crewmembers (serving aboard a sea vessel or aircraft in the United States
A category is for Diplomats and foreign government officials
I category is for Information media representative (media, journalists)
L category is for Intra-company transferees
TN/TD category is for NAFTA professional workers: Mexico, Canada
H-1C category is for Nurses traveling to areas short of health care professionals
J-1,H-1B category is for Physicians
R category is for Religious workers
H-1B category is for Specialty occupations in fields requiring highly specialized knowledge
H-2A US visa category is for Temporary workers – seasonal agricultural
H-2B US visa category is for Temporary workers – nonagricultural
H-3 US visa category is for Training in a program not primarily for employment
E-2 visa category is for Treaty investors
E-1 us visa category is for Treaty traders
C us visa category is for Transiting the United States
T-1 us visa category is for Victims of human trafficking
A1-2, G1-4, NATO1-6 us visa categories are for Visa renewals in the United States – A, G, and NATO
US Immigrant Visa
An immigrant visa is the visa issued to persons wishing to live permanently in the U.S.
The USA has immigrant visa category for immediate relatives and family sponsored persons.The spouse visa,K1 visa are basic types.
1R1,CR1 US immigrant visa category is for Spouse of a U.S. Citizen .
K-3 US immigrant visa category is for Spouse of a U.S. Citizen awaiting approval of an I-130 immigrant petition
K-1 us visa category is for Fiancé(e) to marry U.S. Citizen & live in U.S.
IR3, IH3,IR4, IH4 us immigrant visa category is for Intercountry Adoption of Orphan Children by U.S. Citizens
IR2, CR2, IR5, F1, F3, F4 immigrant visa categories are for Certain Family Members of U.S. Citizens
F2A, F2B US visa categories are for Certain Family Members of Lawful Permanent Residents
The US immigrant visa categories also for Employer Sponsored immigrants or for employment visa.
The US visa category for E1,E2,E3, EW3,C5, T5, R5, I5 are Immigrant visa categories for work Based Immigrants. These workers include Priority workers ,Professionals Holding Advanced Degrees and Persons of Exceptional skills.

SD,SR visa categories are for Religious Workers
SI us visa categories are for Iraqi and Afghan Translators/Interpreters
SQ us visa category is for Iraqis and Afghans Who Worked for/on Behalf of the U.S. Government.
Other immigrant visa categories applicants may apply under DV and SB us Immigrant visa categories
DV us visa category is for Diversity Immigrant Visa
SB us visa category is for Returning Resident.
